Anthony Benscher has over three decades’ experience of government relations across federal, state and local government. Anthony is Managing Director of Barton Deakin, supporting clients achieve their goals with governments and parliaments across Australia and New Zealand, as well as providing strategic advice nationally and coordinating multi-government engagement.

Anthony served as a senior policy, communications and political adviser to Australian Prime Minister John Howard in the 1990s, as a consultant and executive of Publishing and Broadcasting Limited, and as Chief of Staff to New South Wales state minister Pru Goward from 2011.

Anthony provides corporate counsel to ASX-listed public companies and across company and non-government organisations, with strong experience in issues management and crisis communications in Australia and Asia as part of the BCW group, a global public relations and communications consultancy, within global marketing conglomerate WPP.
